You need an enabled Minine test build on your iPhone, a signed-in Minine account with the required testing access, and a Zoom account permitted to authorize the app. The planned beta also requires an active Pro subscription and an approved application. Your testing invitation determines which meetings you can use.
Minine sends a separate, named assistant into a meeting you choose. It does not schedule meetings or join your calendar automatically. Have the Zoom invitation, the actual meeting passcode, and the host’s permission ready. Inform participants before sending a recording assistant.
For a connected-account meeting, join Zoom with the same account you connected to Minine before sending the assistant. Remain in that meeting while it records; the assistant must leave when you leave. Your organization may require an administrator to approve the app first.
During testing, only explicitly enabled meetings are supported. A missing Zoom entry in the current public app is expected; reinstalling or subscribing will not reveal it.
The beta interface offers one assistant at a time, up to 30 minutes per meeting and 120 reserved minutes per day. Your selected time limit includes time spent joining and waiting. Test invitations may set a shorter limit.
Start the connection inside Minine so the authorization returns to the account and device that requested it. This website does not request your Zoom password. If a step fails, use the Troubleshooting section below.
- Open the enabled Minine test build and sign in with the Minine account approved for testing.
- On the home page, open “Zoom meeting assistant”. If your enabled build shows an application panel, choose “Apply for beta access” and wait for “Application approved”. An approval does not open external meetings while testing restrictions remain in place.
- Choose “Connect Zoom”. A Zoom sign-in and authorization page opens. Sign in with the Zoom account you will use in the meeting.
- Review and approve the requested access. Minine uses your Zoom identity and permission to join on your behalf; it does not receive your Zoom password. If your organization requires approval, ask its Zoom administrator to approve the app before continuing.
- Return to Minine and check that it says “Zoom connected”. If you cancelled the authorization, choose “Connect Zoom” when you are ready to try again.
There is no public installation flow yet. Downloading the regular Minine app does not grant testing access, and this guide is not an announcement of Zoom approval.
Use this when you want an audio recording and transcript of an approved test meeting. The assistant appears in Zoom’s participant list under the name you enter.
- Enter the meeting with your connected Zoom account. Let the host know the assistant’s name and that it will request recording permission.
- In Minine, open “Zoom meeting assistant”. Paste the HTTPS Zoom invitation into “Meeting link”. Enter the actual “Meeting passcode” from the invitation, even if the link already contains an embedded passcode.
- Set “Assistant name” to a clear, recognizable name. It can contain up to 50 characters. Optionally enter a “Recording title” to help you find the result later.
- Choose the available “Time limit”, then confirm that participants have been informed and you have permission to send the assistant.
- Choose “Send assistant”. Follow the progress in Minine. If the assistant is in the waiting room, ask the host to admit the name you entered. The host must also grant recording permission.
- Wait for “Recording” before relying on capture. You may close Minine while the assistant runs, but keep your connected Zoom account in the meeting. Reopen Minine to check progress or stop.
If the form is unavailable, check the access message first. Another active assistant, a pending application, an expired subscription, or closed external access can prevent dispatch.
Use “Cancel dispatch” to stop an assistant that is still starting. Once it has joined, use “Stop and save”. These actions affect the assistant; they do not end the meeting for other participants.
Being admitted to the meeting does not start recording. Minine captures audio only after Zoom grants recording permission to the assistant. A host can allow a particular assistant without automatically approving every participant’s recording requests.
When Minine shows “Waiting for recording permission”, the host should approve the assistant’s request in Zoom. If no request appears, the host can open the participant list, find the assistant, and use More → Allow to record to computer, where available. The wording may differ with Zoom’s language or version. Account recording settings may need to be adjusted by the host or an administrator.
If recording permission is removed, recording stops. If the host removes the assistant or the connection ends, any audio already captured may be saved as a partial recording. Minine does not bypass the waiting room, meeting restrictions, or the host’s decision.
The test assistant waits up to five minutes for admission or the host, and up to three minutes for recording permission, subject to the overall time limit. If it exits, resolve the permission issue before sending it again.
Zoom audio is captured by the cloud assistant and processed through Minine’s cloud transcription service. This is different from choosing the on-device engine for a recording made directly on your phone. Changing that local recording preference does not make the Zoom assistant process audio on your device.
After capture ends, Minine saves the audio and prepares its transcript. Processing continues when this page is closed. A transcript may need more time than the recording to become available.
- Choose “Stop and save” and confirm when you have finished. The assistant leaves Zoom; the meeting continues for everyone else. Reaching the time limit or ending the meeting can also finish capture.
- Wait for “Transcript ready”, then choose “Open recording”. Saved meetings also appear in your normal Minine recording library.
- Play the saved audio and read the transcript. From the recording page, use the available translation, summary, and export actions as needed. These follow the same account, engine, and subscription requirements as other Minine recordings.
- To keep a separate text copy, choose “Export” and an available format. To remove an individual saved recording, use its “Delete” action and confirm. Deleting a library record is separate from disconnecting your Zoom account.
- When the current assistant has finished, return to the meeting assistant and choose “New meeting” to set up another permitted test meeting.
If you see “Audio saved · transcription needs attention”, open the saved record and retry transcription there. You do not need to send another assistant to the same meeting.
A partial recording contains only the audio actually received. Audio from before permission was granted, or after capture stopped, cannot be recovered.
Export anything you want to keep first. Disconnecting stops assistants using that authorization and starts deletion of the cloud meeting audio and transcripts created through it. Other Minine recordings are unaffected.
Deletion is processed in the background. An active recording or transcription may need to stop or finish before cleanup completes. Downloaded copies on offline devices and copies you exported or shared are not remotely erased; remove those separately if you no longer want them. In an enabled test build, meeting status refreshes remove local records marked for deletion. The current public release does not refresh Zoom meeting status, so do not rely on it to remove a previously downloaded copy.
- In the enabled Minine build, open “Zoom meeting assistant” and choose “Disconnect and remove Zoom data”. Read the confirmation and confirm. If the page offers “Retry disconnection”, use it to complete the request.
- To remove the authorization from your Zoom account, sign in to Zoom App Marketplace. Open Manage → Added Apps, find the Minine application you authorized, choose Remove, and confirm the prompts shown by Zoom.
- If you removed it from Zoom while testing, also complete the in-app disconnection when available. Zoom does not send removal notifications for apps in development or private apps. If you no longer have an enabled build, contact Minine support to request cleanup.
- Check your recording library and any devices, exports, or shared copies where you saved the content. Contact support if a cloud record remains available after your disconnection request or you cannot complete the removal.
When Zoom delivers a valid removal notification, Minine uses it to revoke the connection and queue the associated cloud record cleanup. The production notification flow still needs release validation; testing removal in Zoom alone is not proof that Minine received it.
Disconnecting Zoom does not delete your Minine account or cancel your Apple subscription. Manage a Minine subscription separately in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Reconnecting later does not restore cloud records that were deleted.
No Zoom entry: the current public release hides it. Check that you have the specific enabled build supplied for testing. A Pro purchase alone does not unlock this feature.
Approved but cannot send: external meetings are still closed. Use only the meetings permitted in your test invitation; approval and a connected Zoom account do not override this restriction.
Cannot connect or permission is missing: check the Zoom account you selected, complete any administrator approval, and try “Connect Zoom” again. If the page says the authorization expired or was revoked, reconnect. A cancelled sign-in can be started again.
Cannot join: make sure the meeting is running, the link is correct, and you entered the actual passcode. Enter Zoom first using the connected account. Ask the host to admit the assistant and check any meeting access restrictions.
Joined but no audio: look for “Waiting for recording permission”. Ask the host to grant permission specifically to the assistant; admission alone is not enough. If permission is refused or expires, resolve that with the host before retrying.
Status is not updating: reopen Minine and pull down to refresh. The assistant may still be running while your phone is offline. Check the meeting’s participant list before submitting another request.
No transcript yet: wait for processing to finish. If audio is saved but transcription needs attention, open that recording, check your account access, and retry transcription. If a record was deleted or removed with its Zoom authorization, it cannot be reopened from the meeting history.
Time or capacity limit: finish the active assistant before starting another. Check the limit shown in your test build; daily reserved minutes and testing capacity can prevent additional starts.
Use the contact options on our Support page. We handle requests on business days and provide a first response within two business days.
Include your Minine app version, device and iOS version, the approximate time and time zone, the status message you saw, and whether the host admitted the assistant and granted recording permission. A screenshot of the error can help. Do not send passwords, authorization codes, or a full meeting invitation.
For a removal or data request, describe whether you disconnected inside Minine or removed the app from Zoom, and whether the copy is in Minine, on another device, or in an exported file. See our Privacy Policy for the app’s broader data practices.
